| JULY 9, 2014 -- At our June meeting the tickets for the annual Gift Card Drawing were distributed to all of the officers and Granges in the Pomona. Many gift cards for good amounts of money were awarded to lucky ticket holders at the 2013 drawing—don’t miss out this year! Tickets, as usual, are $1 each and can be purchased throughout the summer from any Pomona officer. Granges that do not have Pomona officers will also receive packets of tickets to sell. This is the only major fundraiser for Pomona during the year so please do all you can to sell those tickets! The drawing will be held at the September meeting of Pomona at Whigville Grange on Sept. 8.
Also at our June meeting the resolution concerning the elimination of Pomonas from the Order was considered and was voted down with only two votes in favor. It was the opinion of most that Pomonas should be left as they are.
